the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation
in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.
Thermal drive contributes to hyperventilation during exercise in sheep.
The etiology of exercise hypocapnia is unknown. The contributions of exercise intensity (ExInt), lactic acid, environmental temperature, rectal temperature (Tre), and physical conditioning to the variance in arterial CO2 tension (PaCO2) in the exercising sheep were quantified. We hypothesized that thermal drive contributes to hyperventilation. Four unshorn sheep were exercised at approximately ...

translation as a comunicative process is always said to be associated with various aspects of meaning loss or gain. subtitling as a mode of translating, due to special discoursal and textual conditions imposed upon it, is believed to be an obvious case of this loss or gain. presenting the spoken sound track of a film in writing and synchronizing the perception of this text by the viewers with...
15 صفحه اولRespiratory function during pressure support ventilation.
Pressure support ventilation (PSV) is a pressure assist form of mechanical ventilatory support that augments the patient's spontaneous inspiratory efforts with a clinician selected level of positive airway pressure. To understand the effects of PSV on respiratory function, experiments were performed on 15 stable patients requiring synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation (SIMV), as well ...
متن کاملRespiratory function monitoring during neonatal emergency transport.
This study reports for the first time the use of a respiratory function monitor in a prospective observational cohort of ventilated babies during transport. All 17 babies achieved target transcutaneous carbon dioxide tension within 15 minutes. Fifteen babies had improved ventilation with changes guided by the respiratory function monitor. The monitor was easy to use and useful.
